Antony Wandre Pioli made guitars from the late 1950’s through the 1960’s. His claim to fame was an aluminum neck, but the attraction to most of us was the crazy body shapes. The guitars were musical sculptures, works of art.
In 2006, Eastwood launched a line of tributes to these ultra-cool, ultra rare guitars, and released the Wandre Doris to the world. They stuck around for a few years, but their popularity fizzled out over time.
This 2007 Wandre Doris in Transparent Amber is in fantastic shape, with only minor play wear apparent as having been used as a showroom demo.
